Mini or full

The difference is the skin above the belly button and the muscles. Most people asking for a mini are told why a full one suits better.

Questions

What people ask us

How much is a tummy tuck in Dublin?

A full tummy tuck costs €8,000 to €12,000, a mini €5,600 to €7,900, and a full tummy tuck with liposuction €10,400 to €11,500.

Mini or full?

A mini treats loose skin below the belly button only. Skin or muscle separation above the navel needs a full tummy tuck.

Is a tummy tuck weight loss?

A tummy tuck is not a weight-loss operation. Surgeons generally want you close to a healthy, stable weight first, and many look for a weight that has held steady for around six months.

How long off work?

About four to six weeks for most people, longer for physical work.

Should I wait until I've finished having children?

Yes: surgeons generally advise it, because a pregnancy can undo the repair.

Who will contact me?

One clinic, not five. We pass your enquiry to one clinic, and they contact you to arrange a consultation with a surgeon.

How do I check the surgeon?

Every doctor practising in Ireland must be registered with the Medical Council, and only a doctor with specialist registration can practise independently as a specialist. For a tummy tuck, check that the surgeon is on the Specialist Division in Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery, using the Medical Council's online register.
